FSB New Head Office – Nigeria
JCP’s competition-winning entry was intended to serve as the corporate headquarters for FSB International Bank (now Fidelity Bank Nigeria Limited) in Lagos. The client was concerned about environmental-sustainability, motivating a design that would meet international best practice for energy conservation and serve as a model in Nigeria. This included the use of insulated cavity walls, double glazed curtain walling, sun-shading louvers and structural cooling through a raised floor. The primary accommodation consists of ten office floors, including centralized services, shared meeting and conference rooms and a full height atrium. The complex also comprises ancillary buildings which provide accommodation for a resident training facility, a mosque, church and services buildings.
