The Geology Building had recently undergone a re-design that was under construction when JCP were engaged to provide assistance in developing a comprehensive and cohesive external and internal colour scheme. The building reflects a number of similar buildings on the Campus, with a modular brick façade providing the opportunity to reinvent the buildings appearance as a bright vibrant fabric.
The use of green enabled the building to immerse itself in the surrounding landscaping.

The layering of colour particularly to the main entry suggests the sedimentary layering of rock and earth symbolic of the buildings educational function. The strong use of colour continues throughout the interior, complimenting the rationale of the functional planning and joinery.
