This site includes three new ultra soft, all season artificial surface playing field (two of which are a 16,000 capacity football stadium and 15,000 capacity basketball and handball arena)that are lit for 24 hour use. The fields are used for soccer, grass hockey, football, ultimate and field lacrosse. The field are served by a new field house, snack bar and meeting rooms overlooking the fields. Built on a former quarry site, the two venues are set into the ground and form part of a wider master plan which includes a major retail development and landscaped roof sports park. The stadium opened in August 2010, with Slovenia playing Australia in an international friendly.
